Domaine Durand

The vineyard of twenty ha is runned by two brothers, Éric and Joël.

Their production is based on 3 crus from Cotes du Rhone :

Saint-Joseph for 7.5 ha in red and 1 ha in white.

Cornas for 9,5 ha in red.

Saint-Péray for 1,5 ha in blanc.

And on a small production (mainly viognier) of IGP Collines Rhodaniennes.

The various grapes (Syrah, Marsanne, Roussanne , Viognier) are planted on granitic hills on the righthand side of the Rhone and on a few limestones foothills.

The sustainable culture as well as manual work and the grapes optimal maturity allow a perfect expression of the domain’s terroirs. The various cultural interventions carried out manually, as well as the seek for optimal maturity of the grapes, allow the production of rich wines while respecting tradition.

The oak ageing will then reveal the expression of each terroir and bring the wines delicacy, smoothness, elegance and richness.

Light gold colour. Floral bouquet developing a spicy character with a dominant fruits flavor (apricot and exotic fruits). The attack is fresh and fleshy. Full and silky on the palate. Long spicy and fruity finish.

Highly concentrated nose of black fruits and spices. Very powerful and complex mouth with really tight but soft tannins. Very mineral.

Deep red colour. Concentrated nose of stone fruits and spices. The mouth is full with soft but tight tannins. The wine is very generous and long-lasting with a fresh finish.

Saint Joseph blanc

Gold colour with green reflections. Rich, full-flavoured palate, with floral and fruity aromas.

Saint Péray

Gold colour with green reflections. Fresh palate with floral, spicy and toasty notes.

Syrah

IGP Collines Rhodaniennes

Steady Red colour, typical of the variety (Syrah). The nose is pleasant : red fruits, violet, red rose and pepper. The mouth is fleshy, with subtle and elegant tannins. Beautiful length, fresh and mineral
