Domaine des Hauts Châssis

The Domain des Hauts Châssis is located in the south of Crozes-Hermitage appellation The surface of the Domain is 17 hectares.

We have been in organic farming since 2017.

The terroir is of the Alpine diluvium type (fluvio-glacial alluvium), it is made up of large pebbles which accumulate heat throughout the day to release it during the night. Franck Faugier took over the family Domain and has been vinifying since 2003. If the vat room is modern (stainless steel vats), it is respect for tradition that drives the spirit of the Domaine. From the vine to the cellar, it is the respect of the fruit and of the vine that we support : work of the ground, supervised control, grape harvest in green, manual stripping, manual grape harvest, picking off, treading during the wine making and a controlled maturing in order to offer you all the pleasure of the fruit and the complexity of the Syrah. Today the estate produces 3 vintages in red Crozes-Hermitage and one in white.

Wines from Domaine des Hauts Châssis
Golden robe with copper glints. Aromas of white fruits, peach, apricot and citrus. The mouth is warm with a touch of freshness.
Limpid aspect, deep purple and violet colour with black and garnet-red reflections. Spicy on the nose and light reductant : black violet, Zan, curcuma, black fruits, prune with alcohol, blackcurrant. Full, supple and fruity mouth, supported by silky tannins.
Aspect limpide, couleur intense à la teinte ambrée à reflet cuivre. Notes fleuries et épicées. Vanille, amande grillée et bois frais, bergamote, pâte d'amande et fruits confits, pain d'épices et alcool de mirabelle. La bouche dense et puissante bénéficie de la présence d'une touche minérale qui vient l'équilibrer.
Gold colour with green and copper-pink lights. On the mouth, aromas of yellow peach, nectarine, rose and violet, liquorice, exotic fruits. Cordial with a hint of freshness.
Limpid aspect, crimson purple colour with mauve reflections. Elegant, crystallized and spicy on the nose : violet, mocha coffee and Havana, cocoa and nutmeg, black cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry, game. Bright, firm and cordial mouth, civilized by tannins made round and silky by the maturing.
Limpid aspect, deep crimson purple and violet colour ; expressive nose, spicy, fruity and crystallized : vanilla, and havana, cocoa, Zan, black cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry. Full on the mouth, cordial, fruity ; well- balanced with fine and tonic tannins conferring a beautiful length.
